The Founders: A Dream Realized
Fatwave Surf Resort is the brainchild of siblings Maria and Jason, whose lifelong love of the ocean and commitment to hospitality came together to form the foundation of the resort. Growing up by the sea, they’ve always had a deep connection to the waves and the laid-back lifestyle of La Union.
In 2014, after years of traveling the world and experiencing various hospitality settings, they decided to bring their dream of a family-run surf resort to life. Inspired by the vibrant and colorful tropics, they envisioned a place where people could not only enjoy world-class surfing but also unwind, reconnect with nature, and form lasting memories. Together with their extended family, Maria and Jason set about making Fatwave a reality, pouring their hearts into every aspect of the resort, from the design to the way guests are treated.
